Dr. Jesus Botello Jr.
Let's get to know Dr. Botello better.....
Where did Dr. B go to school?
Dr. B earned his bachelor of arts degree in communication from The University of Texas San Antonio, his master
of science degree in psychology from the University of Phoenix, and his doctor of philosophy in clinical psychology from Walden University.
Dr. B is a combat veteran of the United States Air Force and the United States Army, totaling 12 years of service.
Dr. B, why did you chose psychology?
"when I was a kid, I used to watch a program on tv with my mom called The Bob Newhart Show. In the show, Bob Newhart played a psychologist. His patients were extremely funny and I never saw him writing or doing math!! Sign me up!!! Turns out they are right when they say tv isn’t real!! But I couldn’t be happier with my choice despite having to write, a lot and having to use statistics!"
In my free time, I love to.....
"spend time with my family and friends, shooting my guns, spending time at my ranch, riding my Harley, and RVing"
The best piece of advice I've ever received is...
"No matter what you do, good or bad, own it!"
What's the most inspiring part of your job?
"having the ability to help others see they have options when they believe there is no hope!”
The most important thing I've learned from life is....
"separate yourself from negative people, they’ll bring you down.”
When I was 10, I wanted to be a...
"psychologist, a garbage truck driver, a soldier, a musician, and a father. I’ve done it all!”
What do I love best about my job?
"helping great people through tough situations and working with a fabulous group of professionals.”
What is your favorite quote?
"All battles are fought by scared men who’d rather be somewhere else”
